Terms of Service

The agreement between your family and our school. Plain language, because you should be able to read it.

Who this agreement is with

These terms are between you — a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or over — and Little Disciples Learning Academy, a live online preschool operating from Texas. By creating an account or enrolling a child, you accept them on behalf of your family.

Children do not agree to anything and cannot hold an account. Every account belongs to an adult.

What we provide

Live, teacher-led online preschool classes for children aged roughly 2.5 to 6, delivered over Zoom by a qualified teacher, together with an account area where you manage your child’s schedule, see their teacher’s notes and handle billing.

Classes run on weekdays at published times in US Central time, last about 45 minutes, and are capped at 15 children. Your child keeps the same class time and teacher so they are with the same friends each week.

We are an enrichment programme. We are not a licensed childcare provider, not a substitute for supervision, and not an accredited school. A responsible adult must be present in the home while your child is in class.

Your account

Keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think somebody else has it. What happens under your account is your responsibility, and the details you give us — your email, your phone number, your child’s date of birth — need to be accurate, because we use them to place your child in the right class and to reach you on a class day.

Your class link is for your family only. Please do not forward it, post it, or share it in a group chat. It opens a room with other people’s children in it.

Free week, fees and billing

New families get a free first week matching the plan they choose: one day, three days or five days. Nothing is charged during the free week, and cancelling before it ends costs nothing at all — no fee, no tuition.

After the free week, tuition is billed weekly in advance at the rate shown when you enrolled, together with a one-time registration fee on your first payment. Prices are shown on the tuition page and confirmed on screen before you enter a card.

You may pause or cancel at any time from your dashboard. Full detail of what happens to your money is in the refunds and cancellation policy, which forms part of these terms.

We will email you before your free week ends, so a first charge is never a surprise, and we will email you if a payment fails. If a card keeps failing we may pause an enrolment, but we will contact you first.

Attendance, changes and cancelled classes

There is no penalty for missing a class, and we do not credit or refund a class your child simply did not attend — the seat was held for them and the teacher was there.

If we cancel a class — illness, technical failure, anything at our end — you will not be charged for it, and we will email you as soon as we know. Where a cancelled class falls in a week you have already paid for, we credit it against your next payment.

To change your days or class time, ask us. We will move your child as soon as there is room in the class you want.

How we expect people to behave

This is a room full of small children. We ask that an adult is nearby, that your child joins from a reasonably quiet spot where they can see and hear, and that anything visible on camera is appropriate for preschoolers.

Do not record, screenshot or photograph a class. Other people’s children are on that screen and their parents have not agreed to that.

We may remove a participant from a class, or end an enrolment, if someone behaves in a way that puts children at risk or repeatedly disrupts a lesson. If we end an enrolment for that reason we refund any unused paid time.

What belongs to whom

Our lessons, worksheets, activity packs and the material on this site belong to us. You may download and print them for your own family’s use as much as you like. Please do not resell them, redistribute them, or use them to run your own programme.

Anything your child makes in class belongs to your family. If you send us a picture of it and we would like to share it, we will ask you first.

What we do not promise

We put real care into these classes, but we cannot promise a particular educational outcome, that your child will reach a given milestone, or that the service will be free of interruption. Live video depends on your internet connection, your device and Zoom, none of which we control.

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising out of these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Ending things

You can cancel whenever you like, for any reason or none, from your dashboard. We may end an enrolment if these terms are broken, or if we stop offering a programme — in which case we give you as much notice as we reasonably can and refund unused paid time.

Disputes and governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts of Texas.

Before that, please talk to us. Almost everything we have ever been asked about was sorted out with one email, and we would much rather fix a problem than argue about it.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we will email you before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new version; if you would rather not, cancel and we will refund unused paid time.
